A Day In Our Life

Welcome to a day in the life of our forest school! We are thrilled to share with you how we spend our days immersing ourselves in nature, learning new skills, and having fun in the great outdoors. At Ser na Floresta, we believe that connecting with nature is essential for children's well-being, creativity, and learning.

  • 8:30 am - Arrival and Registration

  • 9:00 am - Circle Time: The children gather together in a circle to start the day. 

  • 9:30 am - Outdoor Activities: The children participate in a range of outdoor activities, which could include exploring the woodland, building dens, identifying plants and animals, creating nature art, or playing games that develop physical skills.

  • 11:00 am - Snack Time

  • 11:30 am - Free Play: Children have an opportunity to engage in self-directed play. This free play time allows children to follow their own interests and develop their creativity.

  • 12:30 pm - Lunch Time + Quiet Time

  • 1:30 pm - Outdoor Activities: Children participate in more outdoor activities, such as whittling, fire-building, tool use, or bushcraft skills. These activities may involve more focused learning opportunities and more advanced skills

  • 3:00 pm - Snack Time

  • 3:30 pm - Reflection and Storytelling: Children gather together to reflect on the day's activities, share stories, and discuss what they have learned

  • 4:00 pm - Tidy Up and Departure: Children help to tidy up the site, put away equipment and tools, and prepare to depart.

  • 4:30 pm - End of the Day
